[ 𝐢. ] michael é filho único de alexander mayfield e olive edley. amaldiçoado pela ignorância do sangue puro, seus pais eram membros ativos do ministério da magia, corrompendo seu trabalho em um conjunto de morais e éticas cruéis. como suas crenças sempre envolveriam a liberdade e o conforto da utilização das artes das trevas, ele frequentava a convivência com outros membros corruptos para chegar a um acordo comum. isso sempre foi mantido em segredo, independentemente daqueles em quem ele confiava.[ 𝐢𝐢. ] pais ruins fazem um filho ruim. michael cresceu seguindo as crenças de sua família, conjurando seu primeiro feitiço proibido na infância e logo se tornando um hábito terrível do qual ele tentou tanto se livrar. um ciclo sem fim caiu sobre ele desde que ele (não) conseguia se lembrar. isso passou para ele; para lidar com o abuso, michael costumava usar o feitiço OBLIVIATE em si mesmo para esquecer os acontecimentos pelos quais passou, uma fuga para acreditar que estava tudo bem e para se convencer de que seus pais eram boas pessoas. isso foi feito com o propósito de ser uma metáfora para a reação natural do nosso cérebro de esquecer grande parte da nossa infância, uma vez que ela se transforma em uma experiência traumática. consequentemente, ele nunca conseguiu se lembrar de quando era criança, subjetivamente e literalmente.[ 𝐢𝐢𝐢. ] durante sua estadia em hogwarts, ele foi selecionado para a sonserina e teve um desenvolvimento de um babaquinha para alguém com morais complexas, mas isso eu não consegui desenvolver ao certo por não ter entrado na next antes. :( ele participou desde o início da sociedade dos iluminados, trabalhava junto da DRUELLA inclusive. então quando o dames virou as costas pros iluminados, eles tiveram meio que uma discussão (por incrível que pareça, mike 'tava mais bravo por ter medo de não conseguir mais proteger ele no outro lado do campo do que da questão de poder) e se afastaram.[ 𝐢𝐯. ] com o passar do tempo, a repetição constante do feitiço de memória e a punição dos pais acabaram mexendo com sua cabeça. provaram ter efeitos permanentes, fazendo com que michael eventualmente contorcesse sua própria moralidade e lentamente se perdesse em mania. o regime lhe pressiona para seguir as ideologias dos pais e, empurrado pelo medo, ele atinge então um ponto onde não se importava mais – nem via necessidade – de seguir o lado oposto. a linha entre o certo e errado se borraram e, alteradas pelo estado mental, mudam para o pior. de forma descontrolada e, de certa maneira atordoada, ele persegue cada vez mais poder e controle, entrando em uma espiral de obsessão na qual não poderia mais voltar.
